Dr. Sara Wolfe spent most of her childhood years in Dayton, Ohio. She attended the University of Illinois where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Spanish.
Dr. Wolfe received her dental education at The Ohio State University, graduating magna cum laude in 2004. She was awarded the Paul Toplek Orthodontic Achievement Award upon graduation and was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, a prestigious honor given to students in the top 12% of each graduating class.
Following dental school, she spent one-year practicing dentistry in Ohio then moved to Gainesville, Florida where, she completed a one-year fellowship in orthodontics. It was at this time that she decided to specialize in the field of orthodontics.
Dr. Wolfe attended Saint Louis University, earning her certificate in orthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry degree in 2008. During this 30 month program in Saint Louis, she participated in a fellowship with the Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club; administering dental care to underserved children in the community. Her orthodontic education included training in many aspects of orthodontic treatment including Invisalign®, lingual braces, and use of orthodontic implants.
Dr. Wolfe and her husband Jamie, a Birmingham native, were married in 2009 and decided to make Birmingham their home. They have a 2 year old son, Dayton, named after Dr. Wolfe’s home town.
Dr. Wolfe is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Southern Association of Orthodontists. She continues to further her education through her commitment to these organizations and attendance of continuing education programs throughout the year.
In her free time, Dr. Wolfe likes to run, knit and scrapbook. She and her husband, Jamie, a Birmingham native, also love to travel and spent their honeymoon traveling the American West and the Canadian Rockies.
